Bialkowski Not Expecting Town Recall - Ipswich Town News

On-loan Blues keeper Bartosz Bialkowski has no expectation that Town will recall him in January in order to play him.

The 32-year-old is due to stay with the Lions for the season but there has been speculation that he may be brought back to Portman Road when the transfer window opens, perhaps to complete a permanent switch elsewhere, while Paul Lambert has expressed his concerns that Will Norris may be recalled by Wolves.

"I don’t think they are gonna call me back and play me,” the Polish international told the London News Online. "We need to wait and see what happens.

"I came here for a year and whatever happens, happens. I’d like to stay here. I’m really enjoying my life here — the work with LT [Lee Turner] the goalie coach as well.

"As a footballer when you go into a new place you’re doing everything you can to blend into the group and make the club better. That was it.

"The lads are fantastic and the atmosphere is very good, especially at home. The fans can be our 12th player.

"On the one hand it doesn’t bother me [that his long-term situation is not clear] but in the other it’s my future. I’m 32, I’ve got a wife and kids — I’ve got to look after them as well.

"If you get a chance you’ve got to secure that future. I’m playing, I’m playing well and hopefully the two clubs can do something about it.”

Speaking yesterday, Lambert said there had been no talks with Millwall about whether they might sign him on a permanent basis in January.

"No, we don’t know yet,” he said. "The situation is that there is still a few weeks on that, so I’m pretty sure [general manager of football operations] Lee [O'Neill] will deal with that side of it.”
