Town and Coventry Charged By FA - Ipswich Town News

Town and Coventry have been charged by the FA with failing to “ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion” during an incident in the second half of Saturday’s 1-1 League One draw at St Andrew’s.

An FA statement reads: "Coventry City FC and Ipswich Town FC have been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20 following their EFL League One game on Saturday 7th December 2019.

"It is alleged that they failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 57th minute.”

The charge relates to a clash between Gwion Edwards and Sam McCallum close to the dugouts, which led to both sets of players, including keepers and some subs, becoming involved in a melee.

Edwards and Sky Blues sub Gervane Kastaneer, who was warming up at the time, were yellow-carded by referee Darren Drysdale.

The FA say the two clubs have until Friday 13th December to respond to the charge.
