Morris: Really Good to Be Back Out Playing - Ipswich Town News

Striker Ben Morris was delighted to be back in action for the U23s having been out since February with an ACL injury.

Morris, 20, joined Freddie Sears and released former Blues midfielder Grant Ward in the U23s team which was beaten 4-1 at Millwall on Monday, playing an hour.

"It was really good to get back out playing,” Morris told iFollow Ipswich. It’s been a long 10 months. I can’t wait to keep going now and get back into the games.

"We are all pushing on and are all at similar stages. It was good to get some more minutes under our belts.

"We’ve got another game next Monday [against Crystal Palace at Playford Road, kick-off 1pm] so hopefully I’ll be able to play a bit longer than 60 minutes.”
