Lambert Buys Christmas Drink for First 125 Supporters in FanZone - Ipswich Town News

Town manager Paul Lambert has put money behind the bar in the FanZone to buy drinks for the first 125 supporters ahead of tomorrow’s game against Bristol Rovers.

"It’s just a thanks to everybody,” said Lambert, who made a similar gesture last Christmas.

"My time could end here tomorrow, it doesn’t matter, I could leave next summer or whatever the case may be, it’s a brilliant club and it’s a thanks from me to them and the support I’ve had since coming here has been great.

"I can’t thank the supporters enough and it’s just a thank you for them to have a nice time.

"We don’t play here until Boxing Day so it’s the last game before Christmas and it’s important for me just to say thanks to them.”

The first 125 supporters entering the FanZone, which opens at midday, will be given a voucher which can be exchanged for a drink, beer, wine or a soft drink.
