U18s Exit Youth Cup at Cardiff - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U18s exited the FA Youth Cup at the third round stage having lost 2-1 at Cardiff City after extra-time.

Isaak Davies gave the Bluebirds the lead at the Cardiff City Stadium in the 42nd minute but Colin Oppong levelled two minutes after the restart.

However four minutes into extra-time, James Crole won the tie for the Welshmen, who will face AFC Bournemouth, who are coached by former Town academy striker Alan Connell, in Dorset in the fourth round.

U18s: Alley, O’Reilly (Bello 106), Smith, Alexander (Cutbush 66), Fehrenbach, Henderson, Z Brown, Healy (Baker 105), Oppong (Ruffles 70), Gibbs, Simpson. Unused: Bort, Stewart, Kabongolo.
