No New Injuries - Ipswich Town News
Town manager George Burley will be pleased that his first UEFA match this season has resulted in no new injuries going into Sunday's game against Leicester. While two wins and two clean sheets in this campaign is a good start, Burley was not totally happy with the result last night "We did not play our best but Beggen made life very difficult for us. We would like to have got an early goal but that didn't happen."
After the match the scorer of the only goal of the game, Marcus Stewart, expressed his disappointment in sitting out the game at the Bescot. "Like any striker I want to play every game. If I'm not playing then I get angry, it is as simple as that. The manager knows how I feel but what was said is between me and him but we have talked". Town used four strikers on that day and naturally he was upset at missing out.
Talking of the recent transfer speculation, Burley insisted that it was nothing new. "There is speculation every day. Interest has been shown in a number of our players but we are just looking forward to the weekend game against Leicester."
