No Ayr Move for Ndaba - Ipswich Town News
Blues central defender Corrie Ndaba won’t be joining Ayr United on loan having spent the week on trial with the Scottish Championship side.
The 20-year-old impressed the Honest Men but was unable to join them due to FIFA’s three-club rule which states that players can only be registered with a maximum of three teams in a season.
The Republic of Ireland U21 call-up has already spent time on loan at Hemel Hempstead and Chelmsford City during 2019/20.
It's understood Scottish clubs have previously found a way around the rule, hence the defender going on trial, but are now being forced to adhere to it.
Ndaba is yet to make his Blues first-team bow, despite having been involved with the senior squad throughout pre-season.
Blues striker Aaron Drinan has made two appearances for Ayr having joined them on loan after a recent trial.
Midfielder Brett McGavin also trained at Somerset Park for a few days before returning to Town.
