Cash Hitch in Matt Deal? - Ipswich Town News

Matt Holland's agent Jonathan Barnett says there is a great disparity between what Villa are offering his player and what is acceptable to the Town skipper. Barnett was discussing terms with Villa yesterday.

TWTD understands that the Midlands club is offering Holland the same basic package he is getting at Town, around £15,000-a-week.

Given that he and his family are known to be settled and that Villa is hardly a big step up, this could spell good news for fans who want Holland to remain with the club.

Conversely, this could continue the financial worries for David Sheepshanks.

Barnett says that the deal will be concluded one way or the other either by the weekend or in the early part of next week.
