Stewart on Way? - Ipswich Town News
TWTD has learnt that the Blues have accepted a bid for striker Marcus Stewart and that he will travel on Thursday to discuss terms with his new club.
Sunderland look the most likely side to have landed the former Bristol Rovers man given that we first reported interest from Peter Reid's club in early May, even before Town's relegation.
Since then their name has regularly cropped up in connection with the Town striker, most recently on Wednesday.
A number of other clubs have been linked over the summer, Everton had their offer of players-plus-cash turned down early on, and West Brom managing director Brendon Batson recently denied his club had any interest after newspaper reports linked them with Stewart.
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp said he was interested in the former Huddersfield player, but couldn't afford him.
