More Hermann Interest? - Ipswich Town News
TWTD has been led to believe that Town have received some interest in central defender Hermann Hreidarsson as the end of the transfer window approaches. The Icelander missed out against Avenir Beggen tonight but insisted there was no significance in this.
Hreidarsson watched the Beggen game and is reported to have said George Burley was resting him rather than keeping him on the sidelines for another purpose.
If, as we're told, a club has come in for Hreidarsson then his acceptance of the move would be by no means a formality.
Two weeks ago he turned down the chance to join West Bromwich Albion, citing his family being settled in the region as amongst his reasons.
Previously this summer Fulham and Blackburn have been reported to have had interest in the former Wimbledon man, although Blackburn appeared to have cooled in their interest some while ago and the Cottagers are understood not to be in the market for players due to a shortage of cash.
