Ticket Sales Now 19,000 - Ipswich Town News
Town's season ticket sales have topped the 19,000 mark and, along with other factors, could save Town from having to sell more players, according to chairman David Sheepshanks.
Sheepshanks, speaking at the Supporters' Club AGM, praised fans for their contribution this year, especially when it came to purchasing season tickets: "It shows how remarkable you supporters are that season ticket sales have now exceeded those of last season.
"We have already sold nearly 300 tickets more than last season and applications are still trickling in.
"The support shown has been a tremendous fillip for the club and all credit to George Burley and his team who I know want to reward the fans for the faith shown in them."
"If we have a good run in the UEFA and Worthington Cup competitions that could bring in extra television revenue.
"And if we continue to achieve crowds of 25,000 up to Christmas then that added revenue could mean things are less pressing and we would not have to sell one of our top players. It is still very, very tight, but it should mean your Christmas dinner will not be spoiled."
