As expected George Burley has confirmed that there is nothing in the weekend tabloid speculation regarding Blackburn's John Curtis. The out-of-favour defender was said to be a target of the Blues.

The Town manager confirmed that there is little transfer activity at Portman Road at present: "We are not in a position to buy anyone. If there was an emergency we would be able to get someone in on loan but nothing is happening on that front at the moment."
