Legends in Attendance - Ipswich Town News
Thursday's UEFA Cup match against FK Sartid will see a number of Town legends in attendance. Mick Mills, John Wark and striker Alan Brazil are amongst a number of players who will watch Town's latest European game
The players, all members of the 1981 UEFA Cup-winning side, are marking the extension of the Legends Bar in the Greene King Stand which holds 800 fans, up from 300.
The bar is open to Gold and Silver club members who have seats in the Greene King Stand and the doors open at 6.30pm.
Today, September 18th, marks the 40th anniversary of Town's first foray into Europe, a 4-1 away win against Floriana Valetta in Malta in a 1962/63 European Cup preliminary round match. Town won the second leg 10-0 and met AC Milan in the next round.
