Jakobsson Deal Back On - Ipswich Town News

Andreas Jakobsson. Remember him? He was Town's centre-half target last summer before he decided he didn't want to move abroad with his girlfriend pregnant. Well, presumably she's not any more and there are rumours that he is once again a Town target. The 27-year-old Helsingborgs player is likely to cost Town in excess of £1 million if they decide that he is the centre-half they want. However, given that he's about the sixth we've been linked with this week I shouldn't hold your breath.

Town want to add another game to their current list of pre-season friendies. Yesterday the match with Colchester was confirmed and there was already a game sorted with AZ 67 Alkmaar. It is for the week following this that Town are looking to organise a game. Current matches are: AZ 67 Alkmaar, August 5th before the three match tour (Finland, Estonia and Latvia), July 20th to July 26th, then Colchester at Layer Road, July 28th, Heybridge Swifts away, July 29th and Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road, August 2nd.
