Naylor Turns Down Oxford - Ipswich Town News
Town striker Richard Naylor has turned down yet another offer of a loan move, this time from Ian Atkins and Oxford United.
Former Town skipper Atkins will continue to try to persuade the 25-year-old to move to the Kassam Stadium for a month, but Naylor says he is concerned about an injury to his right knee.
The Leeds-born player says: "I've been a bit worried about a bit of soreness in my right knee for a start which will be having an x-ray. As well as that I'd rather wait a bit longer in the hope that something more positive may happen here."
Previously Naylor has turned down loan bids from Hull, Oldham and Peterborough while Grimsby also showed interest and Brighton were rumoured to want him. Last season he spent time on loan at Millwall and Barnsley.
