Thommo U-Turn - Ipswich Town News
Ex-Town full-back Neil Thompson is back at the helm of Boston United after changing his mind about resigning. The caretaker-manager left his job on Wednesday saying his position had become "untenable".
However after thinking things over after a Wednesday night board meeting at York Road he has changed his mind: "It's been a very difficult time at the club and I made my statement on Wednesday, but, after long discussions with the chairman Des Wood, who has been very supportive, I've decided to stay.
"The players have also been supportive and my original decision had nothing to do with matters on the field, but I'm not going to comment on what those issues were."
Young Blues' striker Steve Burton is currently on a three month loan spell with the Pilgrims.
