New Red Card Rules - Ipswich Town News
FIFA have announced a change to the rules regarding sendings off. All players shown the red card will now face a one-match ban in the next game in the same competition after their dismissal.
Out goes the 14 days allowed for an appeal with hearings only permitted in cases of suspensions longer than one game or in cases of mistaken identity.
FIFA are communicating the change to all national associations and it should come into effect in the next month.
