Hermann Call-Up Confirmed - Ipswich Town News
Hermann Hreidarsson has as expected been called-up to the Iceland squad for their European Championship qualifier against Scotland in Reykjavik on October 12th. As reported by TWTD last week his call-up means he will miss out on the Blues' home match with Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls visit Portman Road on the same day as the Iceland match and with only two Town players receiving calls, Amir Karic with Slovenia in addition to Hreidarsson, the game will go ahead.
Clubs need to have three players called-up in order to get a game postponed. Matt Holland's Ireland have a game on the following Wednesday, but Ireland won't need him to report until the Sunday.
Darrens Bent and Ambrose are in the England U19s, however, only full and U21 matches count towards the 'three player' rule.
