Chairman Allays Fears - Ipswich Town News

David Sheepshanks says that a recent report in the Observer was factually incorrect. He was referring to a story that claimed only three First Division clubs are confident of completing this season's fixtures.

The paper reported that a poll of First Division club chairmen showed that only
three were confident of completing their fxtures this season.

Sheepshanks told the club site he was unable to attend the meering and Chief Executive, Derek Bowden, and Club Secretary, David Rose instead participated, but did not take part in a "half-hearted straw poll" along with many clubs in the division.

As we reported earlier in the month, David Sheepshanks is confident that our financial situation is secure. He said: "I do not envisage any difficulty in completing our fixtures this season. The main thing that is on the minds of everyone at this Club is to ensure that we win most of them."
