Thrashing Soon -Matt - Ipswich Town News

Skipper Matt Holland says that resurgent Town are capable of giving someone a real thrashing soon. The Blues have won two games 1-0 in a row but ought to have scored far more in both games.

Holland feels that Town are getting more used to First Division football after an attitude which was too "gung-ho" in the early stages of the season.

However, he thinks things are now coming together well and someone is going to be on the wrong end of a heavy defeat: "We are capable of giving a team a real tonking. The way we have played recently and the amount of chances we have created we could easily have scored four or five against Wimbledon on Sunday and Sartid on Thursday."

Despite Grimsby's table-propping position Holland is not taking them for granted: "You can be lulled into a false sense when they have just been beaten 3-0 for the second successive home game.

"I saw [player-manager] Paul Groves here for the game with Brighton, who they beat, so he will have done his homework on us and know what we are all about."
