Cotterill Not for Town - Ipswich Town News
Reports linking resigned Stoke City manager Steve Cotterill with Town look to be wide of the mark. The ex-Wimbledon player has left his job at the Britannia Stadium for what is described as a 'bigger club', reported in some places to be Town.
It appears that Cotterill will be announced as the new manager at the Stadium of Light at 11am today, although it does seem that Sunderland have shown some serious interest in George Burley. Howard Wilkinson will also join the Wearsiders as director of football.
Niall Quinn has admitted that three names were on the shortlist for Peter Reid's old job and we understand that Burley was one of those names.
