Former Scout Dies - Ipswich Town News
Former Town scout Ron Gray has died in Ipswich Hospital at the age of 82. Gray was Town's chief scout from 1970 until he retired in 1987.
Gray was responsible for discovering many of the names familiar to us from the Bobby Robson era and in 1985 was awarded a benefit game between Town and an England XI.
He was admitted to hospital last week after a fall.
