Sheepshanks In No Rush - Ipswich Town News

David Sheepshanks has revealed that he's in no rush to replace George Burley. Speaking at the ITFC Roadshow in Clacton last night, he said he'd be drawing up a shortlist over the next couple of weeks, and then start the interview procedure.

In the meantime, Sheepshanks was happy to have Tony Mowbray in charge and is the only confirmed member of that shortlist. Ronnie Moore, Brian Talbot, Bryan Hamilton and Bruce Rioch are all likely to be added but the contents of the list are unlikely to be made public.

Speaking at the Roadshow, Sheepshanks said: "we have a very big decision to make over who is the next manager of this football club and it's important that we make the right choice.

"We made a very difficult decision regarding George Burley last week but we have 35 games to go in the League this season and the new man coming will have the opportunity to get us promoted back to the Premiership."
