Tired Town - Ipswich Town News
Bryan Klug has said that he's never seen a side as tired after a game, as he did after the 2-1 win at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Klug was on the bench as Tony Mowbray's assistant and saw the extent of the fatigue that has been caused by the recent fixture congestion.
"It wasn't the best of performances against Sheffield Wednesday but given the number of games the players have faced over the last week or so, it was understandable," Bryan told the Club site.
"It's been said we can't use tiredness as an excuse for below par performances but it's certainly a factor and was on Saturday. In a way it dictated the tactics because we could not afford to go chasing the game."
