Reid Writes to Town - Ipswich Town News

Peter Reid has added his name to the list of managers wanting to come to Town. After being sacked by Sunderland last week, he originally said he wanted to take a rest but would jump back into management should the right job come along.

Reid took charge of the Black Cats in 1995 when they were at the foot of Division One. He steered them clear of relegation, then turned them into a yo-yo club, winning the Division One championship twice. The Stadium of Light crowd wanted more, and when they struggled in the shadow of Newcastle United last season, and a poor start to this, Peter Reid was sacked.

With over 800 votes taken, Ronnie Moore is still your favourite to take over Town managerial hot seat. We've replaced Bruce Rioch with Peter Reid as he only received 16 votes, and reset the poll.

Ronnie Moore 33.4%
Micky Adams 27.4%
Bryan Robson 19.8%
Tony Mowbray 13.8%
Bryan Hamilton 3.6%
Bruce Rioch 2.0%
