Ireland manager Mick McCarthy is being touted as another possible successor to George Burley in the tabloids.

McCarthy's position with Ireland looks increasingly dubious after a disastrous start to their European Championship campaign and he is thought to be keen to move back into club management.

After previously losing to Russia the Irish lost to Switzerland on Wednesday.
