Squad for Gillingham - Ipswich Town News

Jim Magilton, Marcus Bent and Thomas Gaardsøe are all missing from the squad which faces Gillingham at Portman Road on Saturday. Bent and Gaardsøe have back injuries while Magilton is not over his hamstring problem.

Included in the squad once again are youngsters Matt Bloomfield, Matt Richards and Ian Westlake.

Town keeper Andy Marshall was on the Gillingham side last time the two clubs met, in the Coca-Cola Cup back in 1996. Marshall had a one-month loan spell with the Gills during which time he played seven games.

For Gillingham, Rod Wallace may return after a hamstring injury, a man who did much to help Bolton beat the Blues 4-1 last season.

Guy Ipoua misses out due to suspension, having being booked five times already this season. Roland Edge is out with a knee injury.

Striker Marlon King has been released from prison after his sentence for handling a stolen car. He is back in training but will not be involved at Portman Road.

Squad: Ambrose, Armstrong, Bent D, Bloomfield, Brown, Clapham, Couñago, George, Holland, Hreidarsson, Makin, Marshall, McGreal, Miller T, Pullen, Richards, Venus, Westlake, Wilnis and Wright.
