New TV Deal - Ipswich Town News
The Football League have agreed a deal with ITV to show highlights of matches on terrestrial television despite continued antipathy towards owners Carlton and Granada due to the ITV Digital fiaso.
Clubs were asked to vote on the deal and very few voted against it. Division One clubs will receive an immediate £111,000.
The new agreement will see highlights and goals shown on a regional basis on Sunday afternoons and during midweek. There will also be coverage of the Worthington Cup and the LDV Vans Trophy.
