Town are reported to be at the head of a number of clubs interested in signing 14-year-old Australian prospect Rostyn Griffiths.
The central midfielder has already had trials with Town and Southampton and is set to return to the Academy over Christmas.
Former Hearts player John Brown coaches Griffiths at youth side ECU Joondalup and says he has the talent to make it in the English leagues: "Rostyn is a huge talent - I consider him to be the best central midfielder coming through the ranks in Perth."
