Ambrose Mags Link Again - Ipswich Town News
Town youngster Darren Ambrose is again being linked with Sir Bobby Robson's Newcastle United. Back in September Robson was said to have scouts watching the 18-year-old who has had an impressive start to his career with Town.
The former Blues' boss again had scouts at Portman Road last night with Ambrose his most likely target.
Despite the tricky financial position David Sheepshanks has said the club will not need to sell during the January transfer window, although interest in one or two players is likely as there was over the summer.
Joe Royle says he is determined to hang on to star names like Matt Holland and will want to keep a hold of a player of the future like Ambrose. Arsenal are also said to have kept an eye on him this season.
