George Burley is being tipped as the possible new manager of Sheffield Wednesday. Owls manager Terry Yorath resigned yesterday while Burley turned down the chance to manage Stoke.
That job has now gone to former Gillingham and Portsmouth boss Tony Pulis, back in management after a compensation battle with Pompey.
Burley is likely to find the prospect of Sheffield Wednesday more attractive, although there could be concerns at Hillsborough that the former Blues' boss might take an interest in more coveted positions should they become available.
