Royle on Defeat - Ipswich Town News
New Town manager Joe Royle felt his side failed to create enough chances and were less than solid in defence. He added that although Andy Marshall admitted his was at fault on Palace's second goal, the keeper had previously made a number of good saves.
Royle said: "We had some good spells, and sometimes passed the ball sweetly, but we didn't look like scoring many goals.
"Palace had too many chances, and some people are blaming the goalkeeper for their winning goal. I know he's disappointed with himself too, but it shouldn't be forgotten that he made two fantastic saves just before the goal."
