Mullins Link Renewed - Ipswich Town News

The long-standing link between Town and Palace youngster Hayden Mullins has once again hit the newspapers. The 21-year-old England U21 international has been interesting George Burley for some while with a link going back as far as last summer. The midfielder would cost Town £2.5 million.

Newcastle are the latest side to be linked with Richard Wright. They have also been linked with former keeper Pavel Srnicek so don't read too much into it.

Talking of Newcastle, Town old boy Kieron Dyer has been doing his best to get on as many frontpages as possible this weekend. Firstly he was amongst a number of the younger England players involved in a tabloid staple which involved a holiday, some very naive sounding girls and a hidden video camera. I think it writes itself. Then on Saturday night he was in Kartouche when he was glassed by a fellow clubber. The former Town star needed stiches both above and below his eye but was released from hospital Sunday. As for the lurid holiday tale all has been denied by Leroy his father: "All the allegations in the newspapers are false, especially the bit about his holiday" Dyer has been back in Ipswich over the last week. I suspect Bobby Robson may have a few words to say to him on his return to the north-east.
