The rights to radio commentary on Town games has gone once again to Radio Suffolk. Terry Baxter and friends have been commentating on Town's games for the last three seasons and have enjoyed a good relationship with the club and the players, many of whom have appeared as Terry's sidekicks.
Town have announced that Martijn Reuser will continue to wear the number 30 shirt this season, despite speculation that the Dutchman would be given Mickey Stockwell's old number seven shirt.
With the practice pitch on the verge of being dug up and replaced with astroturf Town have released details of how you can buy a piece of the old turf. £2 will get you a square metre of the pitch from the Constantine Road entrance to the ground on Saturday 29th June from 8.30 'til 4. Any remaining turf will go on sale the next day. Town have 6000 square metres to get rid of to lucky punters, Town groundsman Alan Ferguson said of the quality of the grass: "This is an excellent standard of turf and would be ideal for gardens or local football clubs — we shall be cutting and rolling the turf on Friday and will sell it on a first come, first served basis."
