Ward Wants Permanent Deal - Ipswich Town News
Town manager Joe Royle says he should know whether Ashley Ward will sign for Town within the next 24 hours. Ward is keen to join Town permanently, however the Blues would prefer a loan at this stage.
The Town boss said: "I'll know in the next 24 hours how it's going to go, perhaps even sooner.
"We're looking for a loan deal at the moment and Ashley is looking for something more permanent. We will be talking again and we'll know fairly soon, maybe even today.
"I have been speaking to other people about other players but Ashley, because of Bradford's financial situation, is available and I'm sure that he would give us great strength up front which would help all the other strikers."
