Ward Move is Off - Ipswich Town News
Town manager Joe Royle has confirmed that negotiations to take Ashley Ward to Portman Road have broken down. The Bradford striker was keen on a permanent move while the Blues are only able to offer him a loan spell.
Royle told the club site: "He is after a permanent move but we are not in a position to offer permanent contracts, only loan deals."
However, the Town manager has been talking to other managers about other players: "We have a number of other targets and we will explore them in more detail."
