No Duberry Deal - Ipswich Town News
Town manager Joe Royle is reported to have admitted targeting Leeds defender Michael Duberry during his search for loan stars. However, he is said not to be taking the matter any further.
Earlier this week we reported that Duberry was being targeted by Royle to shore up his defence, however it appears that the better defensive display at the weekend has cooled his interest.
With Leeds United currently in the midst of a defensive injury crisis, it seems unlikely that Terry Venables would have released him anyway. Duberry is set to play in Leeds' UEFA Cup match against Hapoel Tel-Aviv on Thursday.
The search for a loan striker however continues after the recent breakdown of talks with Ashley Ward.
