Boss Wants Euro Success - Ipswich Town News

Joe Royle is expecting a different kind of game when Town play against Slovan Liberec tomorrow evening (6pm UK time). Speaking to the Club site from the Czech Repulic, he said "They didn't attack too much in the first game but I'm sure they will come at us over here and that might suit us because we might get more room and will look to catch them on the break."

"Yes the League is our main concern and we have a big game on Sunday at Watford, but we are taking this match very seriously and want to progress".

Royle so far has a 100% record in the Cup at Town, winning both the first leg and beating Middlesbrough in the Worthington Cup. However he surprisingly though that the Town's achievements in 1981 could be matched by saying "It will be a hard game but we are in this competition to win it and it would be nice to pick up a trophy in my first season here."

"Liberec are no mugs though. They are a decent team and I'm sure they can play better than they did at Portman Road."
