Coventry Away Only Sky Game - Ipswich Town News

Sky TV have announced the fixtures they are covering in the first half of the season and as expected Town have just one game: Coventry away on Monday November 20th (kick off 8pm). Sky are likely to feature Town more often after Christmas when they expect us to be in the relegation zone.

Newspaper stories today say that Town may offer £2 million for Coventry's Gary Breen, however, elsewhere there are suggestions that Town have spoken to John Scales, available on a free, and there may be further developments on this front. Jody Craddock from Sunderland is also rumoured to be a Town target.

Friday is looking like D-day for Richard Wright. He is due to meet George Burley and discuss whether he is to sign a new contract. If not he'll be up for sale and Keith Branagan is likely to get the number one shirt.

It looks like Mauricio Taricco will miss the Spurs-Town game on the first day of the season. Suffolk's favourite Argentinian had a double hernia operation earlier in the summer and may not be fit for the first day of the season. Mauricio said: "It would be such a shame not to be fit for the Ipswich visit".

Town have urged prospective season ticket holders to be patient. Such has been the volume of mail the Ticket Office is snowed under. Some people may even have to wait until the week before the season starts before they get their tickets.
