U18s Draw Aveley in FA Youth Cup - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U18s will face Essex non-league side Aveley at home in round one of the FA Youth Cup.
First round ties must be played by Saturday 5th November with Portman Road set to host the tie.
Last season, Town exited at the third round stage after losing 5-1 to Tottenham Hotspur, having won 4-1 at Aldershot in round two and thrashed Winslow United 7-1 at home in the first.
Town have won the FA Youth Cup on three occasions, in 1973, 1975 and 2005.
This weekend, the U18s are in action against Swansea City at Playford Road on Saturday morning (KO 11.30am).
The young Blues are currently fifth in Professional Development League Two South with the Swans bottom of the table.
