Sheeran to Continue Shirt Sponsorship Into Third Season - Ipswich Town News

Ed Sheeran is to continue his shirt sponsorship of the Blues into a third season.

The Framlingham-based pop star has sponsored the men’s and women’s first-team shirts for the last two seasons and one of his logos will again feature in 2023/24.

"I am thrilled to be sponsoring the club again,” Sheeran, who is currently on tour in the US, told the club site. "I have said before that the football club, and the community, means a lot to me. Hopefully I’ll make it to Portman Road again soon!

"It was great to be involved with the third kit design this year, and I am already looking forward to next season.”

Blues CEO Mark Ashton added: "Once again we are delighted that Ed has agreed his sponsorship of the men’s and women’s first-team shirts.

"Ed has shown his passion and commitment to the club and the wider community. We cannot wait to continue working with him and enhance our relationship.”

Last season Town sold more home shirts than at any time for 15 years with that total beaten in four months this time around.

The Blues are set to wear the blackout kit designed in conjunction with Sheeran, the club’s fastest selling shirt with 11,000 having been purchased in six weeks, when they take on Derby at Portman Road in front of the live Sky cameras this evening (KO 8pm).
