Wright Will Not Sign Confirmation - Ipswich Town News
As reported earlier in the day it seems Richard Wright has told the club he won't sign an extension to his contract and will therefore go on the transfer list. Reports elsewhere suggest that the club have offered Wright a contract extension which would make him the highest paid player in the club's history by some way, but the offer has not been enough to tempt the England keeper into signing. Wright seems content to see out his remaining year before either leaving or signing a new deal. Town, however, will see things differently and Wright will be transfer listed as soon as an official announcement is made. Town are likely to get between £4 - £6 million for Wright with Keith Branagan likely to get the number one shirt should Wright be sold. It is not expected that Town would look for a new keeper.
