Town Appoint Assistant Academy Manager - Ipswich Town News
Town have appointed former Millwall and Brentford winger Marvin Williams as assistant academy manager.
The 35-year-old had been working as academy manager at League Two Sutton United for almost two years having previously been U21 head coach/academy director with the U’s since November 2014.
The Sydenham-born wideman was much travelled during a 10-year playing career, representing Millwall having come through the Lions' youth system, Torquay twice, Yeovil, Brentford, Östersund in Sweden, Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead, Salisbury, Sutton and finally Tonbridge Angels on loan before his career was cut short by a persistent achilles injury in 2015.
Town appointed Dean Wright, formerly Norwich City’s head of academy coaching, as academy manager in the summer.
