Johnno a Doubt - Ipswich Town News

Nottingham Forest striker David Johnson is a doubt ahead of Town's visit to the City Ground on Saturday. Former Town man Johnson will be looking forward to a chance of facing his old side for the first time.

The striker, a scorer of 15 goals already this season, has a back problem and was substituted towards the end of Saturday's match against Wolves.

Manager Paul Hart looks likely to be without his main striker for the match with Brighton on Wednesday and says Johnson felt more pain as the Wolves game went on: "He is pretty sore. There is a nerve in his back which affects the hamstring.

"David didn't start the game in pain, but he felt tired towards the end. The physios will be working with him to solve the problem."

Johnson scored 62 goals in 158 games in just over three years at Portman Road, joining Forest for £3 million in January 2001.
