Tractor Girls Hit Five at Plymouth - Ipswich Town News

Natasha Thomas scored twice and Sarah Brasero-Carreira, Bonnie Horwood and Anna Grey once each as Ipswich Town Women thrashed Plymouth Argyle 5-0 at Home Park for the second year running.

Brasero-Carreira gave the Blues the lead in the 39th minute with a strike from the edge of the area after Grey had laid the ball off to her.

And in first-half injury time, skipper Horwood made it two with a free-kick which left the Pilgrims keeper standing.

With nine minutes left on the clock, Thomas made it 3-0, flicking sub Sophie Peskett’s effort at goal.

The club’s all-time top scorer made it 4-0 with her second of the afternoon a minute into injury time when she followed up after a Peskett shot had been blocked and Grey completed the rout two minutes later from close range from a cross from the right.

The Tractor Girls remain fourth in the FA WNL Southern Premier Division.
