Naylor Set for Return - Ipswich Town News

Richard Naylor is set to be involved in the Town squad facing Liverpool at Anfield in the Worthington Cup on Wednesday night (KO 8pm). Naylor has been experimenting with a central defensive role of late and could be involved at the back on Merseyside.

Manager Joe Royle confirmed that Naylor would be in his squad, telling the club site: "Richard's been back in training for two weeks and is getting better by the day.

"He had a very impressive game at the back against Ferdinand and Rebrov last week and will be included in the squad to face Liverpool on Wednesday."

Royle looks set to involve a number of fringe players at Anfield with Andy Marshall set to keep goal in the absence of Paul Gerrard. Everton are unwilling to allow their man to be cup-tied while playing for Town.
