As expected Town manager Joe Royle is to try to get Darren Ambrose and Darren Bent released from next week's England U20 duty to play for Town at Brighton. On Monday the pair were called into the squad for next Thursday's match against Switzerland at Upton Park.
The Town boss says he doesn't want to adversely affect their England chances but needs them to play for Town: "I would hate to hinder their international progress but it is an inopportune moment for them to be away.
"We have three games in six days and we need them. We are in talks with the FA to see what can be arranged."
At the end of October the Blues managed secure Ambrose's release from the England U19s so he could play for Town.
