Brown Stalls on Move - Ipswich Town News
Town defender Wayne Brown is stalling on a switch to fellow First Division side Gillingham. Brown, in action for the reserves on Thursday afternoon, was recently given a free transfer by manager Joe Royle.
Brown is said to be unlikely to make a decision on a move before the weekend with Watford and Gillingham both keen to get his signature.
Gills coach Wayne Jones said of the situation: "We are trying very hard to strengthen. Wayne Brown is still undecided, he hasn`t made his mind up yet.
"We are still looking for other players on loan or full time, but I doubt we will get anybody in before Saturday unless something happens very quickly with Brown."
Brown was set to meet with Watford boss Ray Lewington this week to continue negotiations regarding a move to Vicarage Road.
