Duo's Release Confirmed - Ipswich Town News
Town manager Joe Royle has confirmed that Darrens Ambrose and Bent have been released from duty with the England U20s squad. Although they had already been given permission to play against Brighton Town had requested that they could be withdrawn completely.
Royle told the club site that he has been speaking to U20 coach Les Reed about the matter: "I have been talking to Les over the last few days and we spoke again this morning.
"We have made him aware of our match commitments this week and he has kindly allowed Darren Ambrose and Darren Bent to be released from England duty.
"It is a big boost for us at a time when we need to start turning games into points."
