Town's South African central defender Justin Miller will return to Portman Road after the final game of his loan spell at Leyton Orient on Saturday. However, O's manager Paul Brush says he is keen to sign the 21-year-old permanently.
Miller has impressed a great deal in his three months at Brisbane Road, making 17 appearances without scoring any goals.
A permanent move to East London looks to be very much on the cards according to Brush: "At the moment Justin is going back but we want to sign him permanently. The money is there.
"Ipswich know that and the two chairmen are talking so we hope something can be done."
Miller has only once been involved in the first team at Portman Road, as a sub in the pre-season game against Celta Vigo in August.
